great horned owl

When we first moved to the country, we would see these magnificent birds often. The first time I saw one standing on the ground beyond our yard, I wasn’t sure what it was. It looked like a cat, but much larger. It’s gotten rather crowded out here (for the country) and I guess we humans have run them off. I’m sorry about that and can only hope that there will always be enough undeveloped land for them. On a happy note, I’ve heard one, two nights in a row, in the last few weeks. Maybe we can all live happily together after all.

{GIVEAWAY} Like or comment and share on Facebook and/or Pinterest and I will put your name in the hat for a 20″ framed giclee print. Drawing will take place Tuesday, March 10th!
